I am a pulmonologist who recently started a solo, office based practice. I wanted to get started on the right foot and have a completely paperless office with EMR so that I would not have to hassle with the arduous task of converting from paper to electronic files later on. I also wanted to save as much money as I could and not spend a horrific amount of money on an
EMR, most of which are prohibitively expensive for small practices. UpDox coupled with Amazing Charts EMR and the UpDox Intranet was a perfect and cost effective solution for my practice. The document handling capabilities of UpDox are phenomenal. Using UpDox I am able to import documents/faxes/voice messages/memos/images files directly into my EMR and associate it with a patient record: no separate files and folders in different locations. It's all IN the EMR. UpDox also allows
me to export, fax or email any patient related documents/images securely to any physician or patient electronically without ever printing to paper. All this amazing stuff is pretty simple to use and it's a BARGAIN! I cannot believe that most docs are still not using this technology. This is a big value for the price. Thanks Apractis for coming up with something better than sliced bread!"

"The UpDox interface with Amazing Charts is simply amazing! Labs are easily imported into patient charts with just a few clicks with the option to also simultaneously email results to patients. Likewise, data can be easily "printed' to UpDox document manager then emailed/faxed to others. Even a computer novice (such as myself) can learn to use UpDox
after just some initial instruction. Technical support is readily available and new and improved features are regularly forthcoming. I can't imagine using my EMR without UpDox as my communication assistant."

"Apractis UpDox helps us work efficiently. Multi-patient faxes are easily separated and appropriately assigned into our EMR. We communicate with our patients through secure e-mail, again easily attaching the communication to their medical record. Our patients appreciate getting a copy of their lab reports (with comments) sent to their e-mail accounts, often
on the same day the labwork was completed. No extra steps required as we can send the results out to them at the same time we assign it to their chart. The voice mail function acts as our triage, and eliminates our need for an answering service. Without Apractis UpDox, we would be drowning in paper waiting to be scanned and our office overhead would be significantly higher. The tech support is amazing, honestly the best we have experienced. Apractis UpDox helps us deal with information
as it gets to us, so after we see the last patient of the day, we go home."

““I've got to get my practice up on UpDox. The capabilities are just so cool. I absolutely love the idea of giving patients their own records with an interface engine. It's all going to come down to user interface, security, accessibility and price.”
Family Medicine Practice, New York
“We really love the print driver, which by itself is definitely worth the price of admission".
Group Practice, Tennessee "The Medical System is broke, no one disagrees. Access and conectivity between the principles, (physicians/patients), and medical information dynamics are the problems associated with the broken system. The links between these dots that allow a robust dynamic medical system are missing........in steps updox....a cost effective software program that solves these problems with a program
that provides the links in a simple but effective manner. The result of using this program for 6 months is improved delivery and decreased cost of medical care..........Just the prescription needed to meet the needs of a healthcare system in crisis".
Rob Allen, MD, Michigan
"Updox is a great product! Cuts off between 3-7 minutes from handling each lab. The time savings is key when you are in a staffless ,ultra-solo micropractice."
Family Physician, Rochester, NY "You have localized an important unmet need of outpatient physicians..the problem of consolidating data from many differerent origins!"
