Help With Starting Your Video Conference

 

            "The Apractis Conference Center enables members and sponsored guests to "visit" other members' online video conference rooms with a "business-quality" service that is always accessible. Please review the simple steps for setup and connection.  Then pick the conference room to connect to on the right. Most conference room pages are accompanied by an "online calendar and schedule form" to help you know whether the room is "available" and how to get connected."

 

1.  Make sure you have a high quality Web Cam plugged into your PC.  We recommend turning off other speakers or microphones.

2.  When you click a conference room you might see the message, "Room is locked or unavailable" because it is either in use or the host is not online.  If so, the room host usually has a contact or schedule form available.  Please confirm that the time of your meeting is correct!

3.  When it is time to join the meeting and you click the login screen, you are usually asked to enter your full name in the Guest Login Box.  Then just click the Guest Login Button after entering your name.

4.  Usually you will then see a message that the system is "downloading the Vidyo software".  Once that complets, you might be sent back to the login screen and if so, repeat step one.  Or you might automatically then see the "joining meeting" message and the two dialogue boxes to pick the Camera and Audio options if you have more than one camera or microphone/speakers available.  Usually you will then see your picture appear with anyone else present.  A few simple controls are displayed below:
